Google Meet
This feature allows the teachers to share virtual lessons with their class directly within the Google Meet.
Installation
- Activate the Google Meet add-on
Configuration
Once you have activate the Google Meet add-on, you will need to create and integrate the OAuth Credentials at the following location.
Masteriyo > Google Meet > Set API
Creating OAuth Credentials
- Go to Google Cloud Console
- Go to the Project dropdown and click on New Project.
- Provide the project's name and click on Create.
- Go to the OAuth Consent Screen. Choose External in the User Type and click on Create.
- Provide the app's name, save and continue until you go to the last step. In the last step, click on 'Back to Dashboard'.
- In the OAuth Consent Screen dashboard, you will see Publishing Status. Click on the PUBLISH APP.
- Go to Enable API & Services and search for the Google Calendar API.

Enable this API and go back to the main dashboard.

Go to Credentials > Create Credentials >OAuth Client ID.
- In the Application Type, choose Web application. Give the name for the application.
- In the Authorized redirect URIs, you will need to add the redirect URL given in the Masteriyo > Google Meet > Set API.
- Click on Create.
You will then get a popup with the Client ID and Secret. Here, click on the Download JSON button.
Integrating Google Meet with Masteriyo
- Go to Masteriyo > Google Meet > Set API.
- Upload the downloaded JSON file to integrate the Google Meet with Masteriyo.
Now, you will see the following screen that says 'This app is not permitted yet'.
- Click on the Go to Google's Consent Screen button.
- Allow required permissions.
Then, the connection is ready and you will see the following screen.
Adding Google Meet on a Course
- Go to Courses > Edit a Course or, create a new one.
- Go to Builder
- Add a new Section
- Inside the section, click on Add New Content > Add New Google Meet
Provide the required details for the Google Meet. The details include title, description, start and end time, and the option to set all the enrolled students as attendees.
- Click on the Add New Google Meet button and the meeting will be added.
Go to Masteriyo > Google Meet > Meetings to find the details about all of the added meetings across the courses.
