Masteriyo’s Audio Lesson feature empowers instructors to deliver engaging content through self-hosted audio files, external URLs, or embedded audio players.

Prerequisites:

  • Masteriyo LMS Pro v2.17.0 or above
  • Ready to use audio lesson

Step-by-Step Guide to Create an Audio Lesson

Step 1: Access Course Builder

  1. Navigate to the course where you want to add an audio lesson, Masteriyo > Courses.
  2. Switch to the Builder tab and click on Add New Content. You’ll see different lesson types that you can create with Masteriyo.
  3. To add audio lesson type to your course, click on Audio Lesson.

Step 2: Configure the Audio Lesson

Supported audio file types: MP3, WAV, OGG, OGA, M4A, and AAC.
Support platforms to embed audio: Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, Deezer, SoundCloud, iHeart, and Audiomack.

Note: Full-track or album embedding via iframe requires a paid subscription on these platforms:

  • Spotify
  • Apple Music
  • YouTube Music
  • Amazon Music
    Free accounts may only embed previews or clips.

Select Timestamps

You can also create interactive timestamps for your audio. To add timestamps:

  1. Play the audio and note key moments with time
  2. You’ll see a blue slider with two timestamp markers
  3. Slide the timestamp marker to select a specific time range of the audio
  4. Give Title Name to the timestamp range and click on Add to save the timestamp
  5. Repeat this until you give a proper timestamp name to the whole audio lesson

You can also easily edit or delete the audio lesson once it is created.

Lesson Description: Add a description to your audio lesson here. You can provide content, objectives, or any other materials from here.

Step 3: Save or Publish the Audio Lesson

After completing configuration, you can publish the audio lesson or save it to draft and edit later.
