Displaying Courses via Shortcode #

The masteriyo_courses shortcode allows you to display the courses, and it also provides three different attributes such as columns, count, and category. These attributes can be used within the masteriyo_courses shortcode to display various course categories, number of columns, and several courses on your pages or sections.
Please find the following course shortcodes example with its attributes.

  • Free Courses
[masteriyo_courses columns=2 count=6 category="free_courses"]
  • Premium Courses
[masteriyo_courses columns=3 count=12 category="premium_courses"]

Courses Attributes #

  • Category: The default value of the Category is “none,” you can add your own course category slug name to display different category courses on your pages or the sections.
  • Columns: The default value of the Columns is “3”, you can change the number of the columns according to your requirements.
  • Count: The default value of the Count is “12”, you can change the Count of the courses display on your page according to your requirements.

Displaying Course Categories via shortcode  #

The masteriyo_course_categories shortcode allows you to list the courses categories. Along with this shortcode it has three different arguments such as columns, count, and hide_courses_count. These arguments can be used within the  masteriyo_course_categories   shortcode to display maximum number of course count, number of columns, and to show or hide the courses count section.

Please find the following categories shortcodes example with its attributes.

[masteriyo_course_categories columns=3 count=8 hide_courses_count=no]

Categories Attributes #

  • columns: ​The default value is “4”, you can change the number of the columns according to your requirements.
  • count: The default value is “12”, you can change the number of the courses count according to your requirements.
  • hide_courses_count: The default value is “no”. You can change to “yes” if you don’t want to hide the courses count.

Account Page Shortcode #

Account profile can be shown on any page or post using this shortcode

[masteriyo_account]

My Account page includes the profile details of the logged in users. My Account page is created by default after you installed and activate the Masteriyo LMS plugin. To confirm this just go to your WordPress Dashboard->Pages and look for  Masteriyo Account Page.

To view Account profile a user needs to be logged in. Once logged in, the user can view the user profile on this page https://yoursiteurl.com/account/

Instructor Registration Shortcode #

While the account page with the URL structure as https://yoursiteurl.com/account/signup/ shows registration that mostly covers the students registration part, we now have a dedicated shortcode that you can use for instructor registration form.
Please use the following shortcode to create a registration form for instructors in any page of your site. If you have used the setup wizard with the Masteriyo plugin (version>1.3.0), Instructor Registration page having the following shortcode is already created.

[masteriyo_instructor_registration]

Instructor that registered via this page can be found at WordPress Dashboard -> Masteriyo -> Users -> Instructors tab. Registered instructors still need to be approved by site admin before they can create the course. Registered instructors can be approved by clicking on any instructors in instructors listing page.

Checkout Page Shortcode #

The shortcode to display the checkout page is:

[masteriyo_checkout] 

Checkout page is created by default after you installed and activate the Masteriyo LMS plugin. To confirm this just go to your WordPress Dashboard->Pages and look for  Masteriyo Checkout Page.
